Free Diabetic Education Day at Landsbaum Center

Diabetes specialists will present a free seminar Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Landsbaum Center for Health Education.

The seminar, sponsored by Indiana State University’s College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services; and Continuing Nursing Education program, is open to the public, and designed to help those living with diabetes and heart disease.

Presentations will be given by Dr. George Bittar, cardiologist with Providence Medical Group; Lea Hall, RN, diabetes specialist from Providence Medical Group and ISU assistant professor of nursing; and Rao Ivaturi, diabetic nutritionist and ISU associate professor of family and consumer sciences.

There also will be representatives from various businesses and diabetic product suppliers on hand to demonstrate their products and answer questions.
