"Customized Employment: Inventive Approaches to Career Development" will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 7-8 in Dede II of the Hulman Memorial Student Union. The workshop, sponsored by ISU's Blumberg Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Special Education and Bridges of Indiana, is free to the community. Registration is required for the presentations by Dave Hammis with Griffin-Hammis Associates.
Topics to be covered include values of community employment, marketing from a customized employment perspective, community image and customer service and negotiation and influence in job development, job creation, job carving and small business development.
