Scenes presented on these evenings will be fully staged and costumed and will include excerpts from "The Merry Widow," "Martha," "Die Fledermaus" and "Hansel and Gretel." The music theater portion of the evenings will include scenes from Stephen Sondheim's "Follies, Into the Woods," "A Little Night Music" and "Sweeney Todd."
The Opera and Music Theater Workshop is a select ensemble of vocal music majors and graduate vocal performance majors and is directed by Colleen Davis and Mark Carlisle, both members of the Indiana State music faculty. The scenes will be accompanied on the piano by Andrea Marlow.
The program is free and open to the public. The performances, featuring a mix of music, fairy tales, love stories and comedy, are appropriate for all ages. For more information, contact the music department at (812) 237-2771.

The Indiana State University Opera and Music Theater Workshop will present an evening of scenes on Saturday, Nov. 8 and Sunday, Nov. 9 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for the Performing and Fine Arts Recital Hall.
