TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Indiana State University's Library will show the Oscar-nominated film "Good Night, and Good Luck" April 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library's first floor browsing area.

"Good Night, and Good Luck," starring Oscar nominee David Strathairn, written and directed by George Clooney, details how veteran CBS reporter Edward R. Murrow and his producer, Fred Friendly, decided to confront Sen. Joseph McCarthy with an investigation into the tactics he utilized while hunting for suspected Communists in the 1950s.

Joseph Tenerelli, professor of communications, will talk about Murrow and the current state of TV news during his presentation, "When TV News was NEWS: Edward R. Murrow," followed by a question and answer session.

This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

Other selected films by and about Murrow will be shown in the Library's first floor browsing area alcove. Murrow's 1960 documentary of the plight of migrant farm workers, "Harvest of Shame," will play on Thursday, March 30; "New Harvest - Old Shame" on Friday, March 31; "This Reporter" on Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2; "Best of 'See It Now'" on Monday, April 3; and "The McCarthy Years" on Tuesday, April 4.

On Thursday, April 6, for those who have missed the videos, "Best of 'See It Now'" and "The McCarthy Years" will play simultaneously in the library's two alcoves all day.
