Next Sycamore Showcase at Noon is July 7

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Child Abuse will be the topic of discussion at Indiana State University's Sycamore Showcase at Noon. The event will take place in Dede III of Hulman Memorial Student Union on Friday, July 7 beginning at 11:45 a.m.

Attendees will receive updates on the status of children in our community, child abuse prevention efforts, law enforcement's role in preventing child abuse and how they deal with offenders and the establishment of a local Prevent Child Abuse Council.

Presenters include Liz O'Laughlin, ISU department of psychology; Nyala Bolen, director of Friends of Families and Sarah Mullican, Vigo County's chief deputy prosecutor.

Attendees are welcome to bring their lunch or purchase a box lunch for $10. Box lunches must be reserved in advance by calling Marni Loyd at 237-2335.

Sycamore Showcase at Noon is a regular free event for the Wabash Valley community and the ISU community and is designed to foster collaboration between the two entities.
