Marching Sycamores to Participate in the Brickyard 400 Aug. 6

WHO: The Indiana State University Marching Sycamores, along with recent graduates and a select group of high school musicians.

WHAT: Pre-race ceremonies at the Brickyard 400

WHEN: Sunday, Aug. 6

TIME: The band will perform a 5-minute set between 2-2:29 p.m.

PLACE: Victory Circle, Indianapolis Motor Speedway

The ISU Marching Sycamores - the only band to ever perform for the pre-race ceremonies - will continue that tradition at the 13th running of the Brickyard 400.The Marching Sycamores will perform "Wabash Cannonball," "1985," and Chicago's "25 or 6 to 4" during their set. They will perform "America the Beautiful" prior to the start of the race (time approximately 2:29 p.m.)

The Marching Sycamores will practice their Brickyard routine Saturday, Aug. 5 at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in rooms 159 and 161 of the Center for Fine and Performing Arts.
