The Symphonic Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Doug Keiser, will perform "Star Spangled Banner," with soprano Colleen Davis and "Fanfare for the Common Man." The Concert Choir, under the direction of Scott Buchanan, will perform two choral works, "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" and "The Quest Unending." The groups will combine to perform "Hymn to the Fallen," and "The Testament of Freedom," a setting of four passages from the writings of Thomas Jefferson, composed by Randall Thompson.
Vigo County high schools will also perform during this community event. The West Vigo High School Vikitones, under the direction of Dixie Whitney, will perform "The American Dream" and "Song for the Unsung Hero." The South Vigo High School Show Choir, under the direction of Kathy Anderson, will present "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "God Bless America." "Homeland" will be performed by the North Vigo High School Counterpoints, under the direction of Steve McDaniel.
The evening will end with all musical groups combining to perform "America the Beautiful."
A candlelight vigil, sponsored by the Panhellenic Council, Residence Hall Association, and Catholic Campus Ministries, will begin on the ISU Quad immediately following the concert.
Admission to the concert is $8 for adults; $5 for senior citizens and students. ISU students will be admitted free with a valid ID. For more information call the music department at (812) 237-2771.

The Indiana State University Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Concert Choir, together with area high school music groups will unite to perform "We Remember - Sept. 11, 2001, A Musical Tribute" at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 11 in Tilson Auditorium.
