ISU to participate in World Food Day

Indiana State University is among more than 1,000 sites around the world that will take part in the 23rd annual International World Food Day Teleconference Monday (Oct. 16).

"Power of the People: Bottom Up Solution to Hunger" Is the theme of this year's event, which runs from noon. to 3 p.m. in Hulman Memorial Student Union, Dede III. The first hour will feature a live panel discussion from Washington, followed by presentations by local agency speakers from 1 - 2 p.m. and a question and answer session at 2 p.m.

A non-perishable food drive is under way at ISU in conjunction with World Food Day. Collection bins are located throughout the campus.
