WHEN: March 7, 2006, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
WHERE: ISU's Hulman Memorial Student Union (registration in Dede I)
WHO: For high school counselors from throughout Indiana and Illinois. The event is sponsored by the College of Education's department of counseling in conjunction with the Office of Enrollment Services. ISU's 2002 Distinguished Alumnus Herm Davis, a renowned author, educator and executive director of the National College Scholarship Foundation, Inc., will be the featured speaker.
WHY: The day will serve as a way of providing counselors with the information they need to better serve their high-school-aged clients. It addresses the need to offer more continuing education opportunities for counselors and to keep them abreast of changing guidelines and ideas in the areas of financial aid, athletics, scholarships, university admissions processes and other topics.
