The Crow Show opens Jan. 10 at the Turman Art Gallery

TERRE HAUTE. Ind. -- The Crow Show, an exhibit of works by area artists, will open in the Turman Art Gallery at Indiana State University on Jan. 10. Often maligned for their propensity to annoy people, the birds will be given the opportunity to enter the realm of fine art. The exhibit, which will include including ceramics, mixed media, prints, paintings and photographs, will remain on display through Feb. 2.

Artists participating in the exhibit include SaMy Anderson, Karl Barnebey, Rod Bradfield, Mackenzie Dennis, David Erickson, David Haas, Martha Kaplan, Susan Koen, Fran Lattanzio, Louis Leskowski, Amy MacLennan, Mary Ann Michna, Megan Mullenax, Michael Neary, Chuck Pate, Nancy Nichols-Pethick, Petra Nyendick, Mike Swagerle, Michael Tingley, Susan Tingley, Patrick Titzer, Crystal Vicars and Wanda Wilkey.

An artists’ reception will be held on Thursday, Jan. 18 from 4:30 – 7p.m. in the Turman Art Gallery in the Fine Arts Building, located at Chestnut and 7th Streets.

The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. The gallery is open from 12-4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call (812) 237-3787.
