Concert Band to perform Feb. 25

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Indiana State University Concert Band, under the direction of Dennis Ballard, will present a concert at 4 p.m. Feb. 25 in Tilson Auditorium.

Also on the podium during the concert will be student conductors Jennifer Pinson and Flynn Dunbar.

Opening the concert will be performances by two saxophone ensembles. The Freshman Saxophone Quartet will perfom Kurt Weill's "Threepenny Opera" while the Femmes Fatales will perform "Sonata da chiesa, Op. 3, No. 2" by Arcangelo Corelli.

Works to be performed by the Concert Band include Karl King's "United Nations March," Frank Erickson's "Balladair," "Serenade Op. 22," by Derek Bourgeois, Robert W. Smith's "Incantations," Percy Grainger's "The Sussex Mummers Christmas Carol" and "A Galop to End all Galops" by Warren Barker.
