Indiana State University police arrested a student early today (March 30) in connection with the sexual assault of another student.
Henry Eugene Lemons III, a 19-year-old freshman from Cincinnati, was arrested for sexual battery and consumption of alcohol by a minor.
The victim told police the incident occurred after Lemons, with whom she was acquainted prior to the incident, accompanied her and her roommate home following an off-campus party Thursday night.
Additional details the victim provided following the arrest appear to support a more serious charge of rape, according to Bill Mercier, ISU director of public safety. Lemons is expected to make an initial appearance today in Vigo County Superior Court.
