Two students arrested on theft charges

Indiana State University police have arrested two ISU students in a case involving the falsification of financial aid documents.

Allen Green of Frankfort, 21, and Reece Rhea of Eminence, 22, were arrested at approximately 4 p.m. Wednesday. Both are juniors.

At an initial hearing today (April 5), probable cause was found to charge each of the students with one count of theft. Formal charges will be filed at an April 10th hearing. They were released on their own recognizance.

The students allegedly received financial aid totaling $15,000 for which they were not eligible. The situation was discovered by an Indiana State University employee on March 27.

The investigation is continuing.
