Joyce Rogers of Indianapolis was appointed to a four-year term ending in 2011. Rogers is president and chief executive officer of Indiana Black Expo and serves on the board of directors for the United Way of Central Indiana. Rogers fills a seat vacated by Richard Bonds of Indianapolis.
Amy Huntsinger of Frankton, a public relations major, will serve a two-year term as student trustee. She was a member of the Student Government Association and currently serves as co-chair of the Vigo County College Relay for Life. Huntsinger fills a seat vacated by Grant Scharton of Greenwood.
The governor re-appointed Norman Lowery of Terre Haute to serve a four-year term ending in 2011. Lowery is president and chief executive officer of First Financial Bank, N.A. and vice chairman and CEO of First Financial Corp. Lowery is a former president of the Greater Terre Haute Economic Development Corp.
Ron Carpenter of Indianapolis was selected by the Indiana State University Alumni Council to serve a second four-year term as an alumni member and Gov. Daniels confirmed that appointment. Carpenter is president and chief executive officer of the Children’s Bureau of Indianapolis, Inc. and works as a consultant for the Indiana Justice Task Force.
Carryover members of the board are Mike Alley of Carmel; Barbara House of Indianapolis; R. Brooks LaPlante and Richard Shagley, both of Terre Haute; and John Thyen of Jasper.
Trustees will conduct their annual organizational meeting at 9 a.m. July 19 in the State Room of Tirey Hall on the ISU campus.

Gov. Daniels appointed two new members to the Indiana State University Board of Trustees and re-appointed two other members of the nine-member board whose terms expired July 1.
