Students, faculty, staff and the greater Terre Haute community are invited to view the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama at any of several locations around campus on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

This historic event will be shown on large screen televisions in the Hulman Memorial Student Union Commons and in the Cunningham Memorial Library Events Area (complete with popcorn!) beginning at 9 a.m. The inauguration of the 44th president of the United States is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. Viewing will also be available in Sycamore Lounge and Connections Lounge.

The American Democracy Project, HMSU and Cunningham Library hope as as many people as possible take advantage of the opportunity to witness and discuss the peaceful transition of power that Americans take for granted but that is still rare in many parts of the world.
