As the economy continues to dominate the headlines, a group of experts will gather at Indiana State University to offer predictions and insights for the coming year.

The 13th annual Groundhog Day Economic Forecast will take place Tuesday, February 3 in Dede I of the Hulman Memorial Student Union. A continental breakfast will begin at 6:45 a.m. and the program will start at 7:15 a.m.

The economic forecast will feature commentary on national, state and local issues. There will also be a question and answer period.

"Given the current economic climate, this year's program is particularly worthwhile," said Nancy Merritt, dean of the ISU College of Business. "Our panel of experts will offer timely insight to the short-term business and employment outlook and the longer-term issues at the national and local levels."

Panelists include Gerry Dick, host of Inside Indiana Business; Margaret G. Lewis, president of Hospital Corporation of America's Capital Division; Brian Conley, owner of Conley Real Estate Appraisals Inc.; and Robert Guell, ISU economics professor.

To register, contact the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce at 812-232-2391 or online at www.terrehautechamber.com . Tickets are $20 for Chamber members and $30 for prospective members.

The event is sponsored by the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce, Indiana State University College of Business and Terre Haute Savings Bank.
