An open house and preview sessions for Indiana State University's College of Education's new Center for Collaboration and Innovation in Teacher Education is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, in the college's 11th Floor Conference Room.

The center is a service for ISU education graduates in their first five years of teaching to help in their development of confidence and teaching skills.

Preview sessions during the open house include introduction of online support called Just in Time to help teachers deal with issues such as classroom organization, content areas, exceptional learners and parental involvement. Another session includes a demonstration of future hybrid classes to help recent graduates maximize mentor experiences and complete re-licensing requirements. Another session offers focus groups for teacher discussion on suggestions, ideas, areas of concern and how to share information.
