The Indiana State University School of Music will present a string chamber recital Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts.
The works on the recital feature a variety of combinations of instruments including: Sergei Prokofiev's Sonata in C Major for Cello and Piano, opus 119, Frank Bridge's Phantasy for Violin, Viola, Cello, and Piano, and Johannes Brahms Piano Trio No.1 in B Major for Violin, Cello, and Piano, opus 8.
The opening three movement work by Prokofiev will feature guest artist Kimberly Burger on cello accompanied by pianist Martha Krasnican. Other performers include the School of Music faculty Sharilyn Spicknall, violin and Dan Powers, viola.
