View recent works by eight Indiana State University studio faculty and instructors in the 2012 Department of Art Faculty Exhibition, on display at the University Art Gallery Aug. 20-Sept. 15.
This diverse exhibition includes paintings, prints, photographs, drawings, graphic design, video, and ceramics by faculty members SAMy Anderson, Chester Burton, Glenn Dunlap, Kira Enriquez Kalondy, Fran Lattanzio, Nancy Nichols-Pethick, Brad Venable, and Sala Wong. Meet the artists during a reception at the University Art Gallery from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24.
The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. The University Art Gallery is located in the Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts at the corner of Seventh and Chestnut streets. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The gallery will also be open for ISU Family Day on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 9 am to 5 pm. The University Art Gallery organizes original exhibitions from ISU's permanent art collection, as well as solo and group shows of works by nationally to internationally renowned contemporary artists. Faculty and student exhibitions support the art department's curriculum and celebrate campus creativity. By presenting innovative exhibitions, producing catalogs, and organizing interdisciplinary programs, the University Art Gallery seeks to promote scholarship, inspire creative excellence, and deepen an understanding of the visual arts.
