Indiana State University Foundation staff walking in the university's Homecoming parade Saturday (Oct. 24) will hand out cards mostly bearing pennies, but one card containing a special blue coin will award the recipient a four-year scholarship to the university.

Lavert embodies ‘heart’ of education

Passion for education has led Gwen Lavert from schools in Texas to the halsl of Indiana State University to meeting rooms in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Now, it has led her to return to children at the Faulkner Academy Public Charter School in Marion - a school she helped to establish.
English professor's film plays at Cannes Film Festival

Mark Lewandowski, assistant professor of English, has ventured into new territory with his screenplay "Positioning." The short film has found an audience at several film festivals - including perhaps the most popular one in Cannes, France - and will play again in November at a festival in Nevada.
