Students from Terre Haute South, West Vigo and Maconaquah high schools participated in Hispanic Day festivities at Indiana State University Oct. 9. Activities included Spanish-themed songs, dance, poetry recitations, art projects and tests of knowledge, offered students a chance to learn about the Hispanic language and culture outside the confines of the classroom. About 150 students attended the event, which was sponsored by ISU's Department of Languages, Literature and Linguistics.
