The standing-room-only crowd who packed into Dede I on Saturday, Feb. 28, were treated to an evening of African food, dance and entertainment during African Global Night. One of the highlights of the evening was the performance of the Milwaukee-based Kassumai Troupe featuring Lucky Diop, a master drummer from Senegal. Among the speakers during the event were Hamed Adebola, president of the African Student Union; dele jegede, advisor for the African Student Union; Jack Maynard, interim provost and vice president of academic affairs; and Terre Haute Mayor Kevin Burke.
