| Public Affairs Photo Gallery -- 1/30/2004
Despite the frigid cold, a large crowd of ISU students, faculty and staff, along with members of the Terre Haute community gathered at Dede Plaza Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, to participate in the March Against Hate. The march was organized in response to two recent events in the Wabash Valley, the arson at the C.A.N.D.L.E.S. Holocaust Museum and the violence against a multiracial family in Sullivan County. Organizers of the event believe that to be "silent in the face of hate can be a form of approval," so the rally was a method of speaking out against hate, racism and prejudice.
