To celebrate the 18th Annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day, Indiana State University hosted a reception and panel discussion Feb. 4 in the Heritage Ballroom. The panel included: Dr. Ferne E. Price, a member of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League and a member of the ISU Athletics Hall of Fame; Margit "Grete" Treiber, a member of the National Association of Women's Gymnastics Judges Hall of Fame, and a members of the ISU Athletics Hall of Fame; Brenda Coldren, former professional softball player and coach of the ISU softball team; and Julie Krofcheck, former professional volleyball player and ISU head volleyball coach.

Dr. Jolynn Kuhlman, associate professor of physical education, was the mistress of ceremonies for the event, while Dr. Tom Ramey, vice president of student affairs, welcomed the crowd. ISU Athletic Director Andi Myers provided closing remarks.
