About 80 parents and incoming Indiana State University students attended the Sycamore Send-Off at the home of John and Marilyn Thyen in Jasper Aug. 13. The Send-Off -- one of seven throughout the state -- gives students and parents the opportunity to visit with ISU alumni, staff and other incoming freshman from the area. ISU President Lloyd W. Benjamin attended the event, which was sponsored by the DuBois County Alumni Chapter.
