graduate admission application process

Admission to the nursing program involves acceptance into the University and  then into the nursing program.

Prospective students must apply to the University (College of Graduate and Professional Studies) for admission to begin the process of studying nursing at ISU. 

Application and admission to the nursing program occur at various times depending on the concentration to which one is applying. 

University (College of Graduate and Professional Studies):

To apply for Graduate admission to the University, choose the type of admission you are requesting and complete

Nursing program:

Graduate:

Graduate students and Post-Master's registered nurses will be considered for admission to the Master's program / Post-Master's Certification program based on the admission criteria. Applications vary based on the desired concentration - note specific application deadline on the appropriate application form.  Note that there are 2 different addresses for submission of application materials.

To apply for admission to the nursing program as a graduate student,

  1. complete the appropriate
  2. application for admission form 
  3. choose SAVE when the dialog box opens if you want to save a completed copy of the form
  4. save the document to a location
  5. from which you will be able to retrieve it if needed
  6. print the application for admission form
  7. sign and date the application for admission form
  8. mail the application for admission form along with copies of the
  9. required documentation indicated on the form and the admission materials worksheet by the deadline indicated on the form to the addresses indicated on the form.

Note: Official transcripts for graduate applicants must be submitted to the College of Graduate and Professional Studies.
