Class Requirements

Preference for a graduate of a diploma or associate degree program working toward the completion of a baccalaureate degree, no applicant meets this criteria then consideration may be given to 3rd or 4th year student in the traditional program.

Minimum GPA Requirement

Can be continued based on a GPA of 2.5 for undergraduate or 3.0 for graduate students

Financial Need Requirement

Eligibility will be used on actual and continuing financial need as determined by the nursing scholarship committee.

Other Criteria

Preference for residents of Vigo County and surrounding counties regardless of race, sex, or creed. 

Recipient

Whitney Bonham is a senior nursing student at Indiana State University.  She will be graduating in December 2012 and is very excited to start her career as a nurse.  Whitney would like to thank the people responsible for the Louis F. Keifer scholarship for their generosity.  She is from Sullivan, Indiana, a small town located about forty minutes south of campus.  Whitney also works part-time at a doctor’s office.  She enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and fiancé, and attending church.
