Class Requirements
Preference for a graduate of a diploma or associate degree program working toward the completion of a baccalaureate degree, no applicant meets this criteria then consideration may be given to 3rd or 4th year student in the traditional program.
Minimum GPA Requirement
Can be continued based on a GPA of 2.5 for undergraduate or 3.0 for graduate students
Financial Need Requirement
Eligibility will be used on actual and continuing financial need as determined by the nursing scholarship committee.
Other Criteria
Preference for residents of Vigo County and surrounding counties
regardless of race, sex, or creed.
Recipient
Danielle Decker will be a senior in the nursing program this fall. This is her second degree from Indiana State; her first degree was a BS in Life Sciences. Danielle is employed at Providence Medical Group in cardiology and is a student nurse at Union Hospital. After graduation, she hopes to get her DNP and become a nurse practitioner. Danielle is very grateful for this scholarship!
