Tamara Henderson is a second-degree non-traditional nursing student from Michigan. She received her first degree in Business Administration at Central Michigan University in 2002 and worked for a major corporation for 7 years as a buyer. Tamara is extremely honored, blessed, and grateful to be selected for this award, as funding my education is a key element to successfully completing my degree and becoming a Registered Nurse and hopefully a Nurse Practitioner in the future.
Ashley Percifield graduated in 2010 with her Bachelors in Human Development & Family Studies and Psychology and also completed some graduate work in Student Affairs. She has continuously been interested in a helping career in the medical field and in making a difference in the lives of those in need. She is now currently pursuing a BS with a major in nursing in ISU’s newly approved Accelerated 2nd degree track of the baccalaureate nursing program and will graduate in August 2012. Afterwards, Ashley plans to gain experience in the field and eventually return to the university setting to pursue studies in a nursing specialty or pursue a career as a family nurse practitioner. Ashley is very grateful for the support provided by Mr. and Mrs. Vincent and Barbara Landini.
