Ken Hanamura would like to thank the scholarship committee, Nursing faculty, and Dr. Dan Lucky for his scholarship award. Ken is from California and Japan. He received BA in Speech and Communication Studies and MA in Japanese at San Francisco State University. Now, he is happily back in school for nursing at Indiana State University. He has two career goals in nursing. One is to become a FARN (first assistant registered nurse) in operating rooms, and the other is to pursue advanced practice in psychiatric nursing. Ken greatly appreciates receiving this scholarship and feels honored.
