In 2010, after six months of soul searching, Shannon Setter
decided her next career would be nursing. After several years
in the business world, she was burned out and wanted a career where she
would be appreciated as well as make a difference. Being a single mom,
she informed her kids: Justin (now 13) and Brittany (now 17) of what the
next few years would be for them as a family. Sacrifices, thrifty
budgets and support from her kids have helped Shannon make this decision
of heart take shape.
