Constance Thomas graduated from Indiana State University with an Associate of Science degree with a major in nursing in 2001 and a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in nursing in 2003.  An MS in Nursing Education was completed in 2005 from the University of Southern Indiana, with research in stress reduction during testing in nursing students.

Mrs. Thomas is currently a PhD candidate completing her dissertation. Her research investigates Horizontal Violence and the Novice nurse. 

Constance was elected Vice President of the Lambda Sigma chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International for the 2006-2008 term.  

Prior to her full time employment at Indiana State University in 2006, she was an adjunct faculty member. She was also an adjunct faculty member at Ivy Tech Community College
