The Academic Services Department in the Office of Information Technology strives to seamlessly integreate technology in to the academic environment for faculty and student use.
The Academic Services Department will assist faculty and students with technology needs by promoting and supporting the use of instructional tools, providing direct customer support and engaging input and guidance from users to achieve a holistic balance in academic pursuits.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Indiana State University and over twenty-three years of experience at ISU in various positions. I was hired as a hardware technician in September 1989 which included hardware, troubleshooting and repair. My duties also included installing some of the original network equipment in Root Hall and the old College of Business. Later I became the ERS Manager and had oversight for all network installs, troubleshooting and repairs on hardware across the campus. I managed a team of up to ten students and one full-time staff member. I later moved in to the Assistant Director of User Services position and then after two years was named the Director of User Services. My most recent position is the Director of Academic Services. This new position allows me to concentrate on technology to assist students and faculty in their academic pursuits.
