  • From your desktop click on the apple to open the menu as shown in Figure 3a.

  • Click on System Preferences

  • After you click on the System Preferences from the menu the window called System Preferences will open as shown in Figure 3b

  • Click on Network from the Internet & Network Area

  • After you click on Network in System Preferences a window called Network will open as shown in 3c

  • In the Network window change show to Built-in Ethernet or if you have a Ethernet card select it instead

  • At the bottom left-side of the window you will see your twelve-digit, hardware Ethernet address. In this example the Ethernet address is 00:05:02:ad:46:3f. Write your Ethernet address down so you can take it to another PC or Mac
