How to find ethernet address in Windows 7/Vista.

Click on the Windows symbol as shown in figure 1

Click on Control Panel as shown in figure 1

- After you open Control Panel it should look like Figure 2a

- Click on Change adapter settings as shown in Figure 2b

When the Network Connections window opens as shown in Figure 2c (Yours should look similar but you may have other connections present) double click on Local Area Connection.

The window that shows your connection status will open as shown in Figure 2d

Click on the Details button

A window called Network Connection Details will open as shown in Figure 2e

The Physical Address is your adapter (Hardware) address, this is the number the IT Help Desk will need to register your computer in the BootP server.
