Computer Acquisition

Laptop Rental Program

Starting in the fall 2012, incoming first-time freshman students will now have an inexpensive and convenient way to acquire a laptop computer to use in and out of class 24/7.

Eligibility:

  • First time freshman students only
  • Must be currently enrolled full time
  • A valid ISU student ID is required
  • Laptop scholarship recipients not eligible

Rental Rates:
New and used laptops are available to rent on a semester or yearly basis only. Rental rates are $75.00 per semester [used laptop]; and $100.00 per semester [new laptop]. FREE on-campus support and service!

Rent-To-Own Option:
If you rent the same laptop for three consecutive years...you own it.

Model Specifications:
All rentals are windows based laptops and will include a battery and power cord. All rental laptops have built-in wired and wireless connectivity. All rental laptops are preinstalled with the latest Microsoft Operating System, Office Suite, and Security Essentials AntiVirus Software.

PLEASE NOTE: Submitting a Laptop Rental Reservation Form is not a guarantee of availability. Supplies are limited, and reservations will be handled on a first-come first-served basis. Rental fee must be paid in full on or before date of laptop pick up.
