Documentation

Training

Training for Argos is provided by individual departments and offices:

Account Request

To use Argos, you will first need a valid Banner Logon ID. Then you will need to request access from the department owning the reports you need to view. The departments currently offering Argos reports are:

          * Admissions
          * Graduate Studies
          * Registration and Records

Once you submit your access request, the following steps will occur:

  1. The request will be sent to the appropriate user office(s) to be reviewed.
  2. The user office(s) will contact you with either an approval or denial of access.
  3. If approved, the user office will contact OIT to have your Argos access set up.
  4. Once your access has been set up, you will receive notification from the user office that your access request has been completed. You will also be provided with information about Argos training and accessing Argos.

MS Access

The following script will partially convert MS Access SQL code to ORACLE SQL code. You will need to have login access to jade.indstate.edu to upload the access_to_sql.shl and the access code that you want to convert as access_code_in.txt. To make the script executable on jade, type chmod +x access_to_argos.shl and press the Enter key. To execute the script on jade type access_to_argos.shl and press the Enter key. An output file will be created named access_to_argos.sql that you can then edit or download to your hard drive and copy and paste the resulting SQL code into your Argos report.
