Operations

The Office of Operations is often the eyes and ears of the Office of Information Technology department. Operations monitors all campus servers and supplies frontline troubleshooting.

Operations is responsible for the backup and archive retention of all campus servers, while also handling much of the printed output for academic offices and the necessary post-processing of that output.

Other responsibilities include Bootp registrations, network monitoring and preliminary troubleshooting, evening distance education support, OIT power emergency plans, etc.

The Machine room is staffed 24 Hours a day 7 Days a week.
