Video Engineering Services
This group is responsible for engineering and maintenance of Distance
Education classrooms, WISU-FM, video production, post-production
facilities, two-way video, campus cable television, videotape
duplication, satellite downlinking, and infrastructure to support these
facilities. We also provide video/audio systems engineering, design,
documentation and consulting for requesting departments in the
University. Other services are provided in cooperation with other groups
within Information Technology.
- Remote classrooms and video conferencing facilities -
Infrastructure support for both distance education classrooms and
video conferencing equipment in various conference rooms and offices
across campus.
- Cable Television - Service or installation for
non-residence halls may be requested through
VESHelp@indstate.edu.
Requests for service of cable television in residence halls should
be referred to Residential Life Services.
- Satellite Feeds and Recordings - Requests for satellite
feeds may be made through our online form at
http://web.indstate.edu/videosvc/satellite-form.html
- Videotape Duplication - Service for single or multiple
copies of VHS recordings and for duplication of VHS tapes to or from
any of the worldwide recording standards is available. These include
PAL, SECAM, and NTSC. There is a fee for the duplication and the
videotape is supplied by VES.
- Film and Slide Transfer to Videotape - VES can transfer
either 35mm slides or 16mm film with either a magnetic or optical
soundtrack onto VHS or SVHS videotape. Please contact us for
availability of other tape formats.
- CampusCam - The campus web-cam was installed and is
maintained by the VES staff. It is available at:
