Using ISU Resources with another Internet Provider (ISP)
If you are using another company for your Internet Service such as
America Online, MSN, Time Warner or Verizon, you can still access many
of ISU services and resources.

Connecting to the ISU RDC using:
Windows Remote Desktop Connection
Windows Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) enables off campus users to log onto an
on campus computer and utilize software such as SPSS or network
resources such as Banner that aren't available on their own machine.
Windows has software built in to connect to a RDC. If you are using a Mac
you will have to install the Remote Desktop Connection software from Microsoft found
here, then use the instructions located
here.

Microsoft Campus
Agreement (MSCA)
ISU has signed an agreement with Microsoft for students to use the more
popular software programs. All ISU students that have paid tuition can obtain their copies of software for PC or Mac at no
additional charge.
Accessing your Home Directory Remotely
Students get 100MB of space on our Novell servers, in order to access
these files remotely you must FTP to the Novell server. Click on the
