An Internet e-mail address
consists of the user's network name, followed by the symbol @, followed
by the name of the server, followed by the institution's name, and
ending with the Internet domain.
At ISU, a student’s
internet e-mail address would be their portal id, followed by @mail.indstate.edu.
They would also have an alias of their portal id followed by @indstate.edu.
For example:
jdoe2@mail.indstate.edu
ISU faculty and staff have an internet e-mail address based
on preferred firstname.lastname followed by a digit, if necessary, to
uniquely distinguish the person if others have the same first and last
names.
For example:
john.doe2@indstate.edu
