How to find ethernet address in Windows 7/Vista.

• Click on the Windows symbol as shown in figure 1

• Click on Control Panel as shown in figure 1

• After you open Control Panel it should look like Figure 2a

• Click on Change adapter settings as shown in Figure 2b

• When the Network Connections window opens as shown in Figure 2c (Yours should look similar but you may have other connections present) double click on Local Area Connection.

• The window that shows your connection status will open as shown in Figure 2d

• Click on the Details button

• A window called Network Connection Details will open as shown in Figure 2e

• The Physical Address is your adapter (Hardware) address, this is the number the IT Help Desk will need to register your computer in the BootP server.
