For Windows

The Office of Information Technology has virus scanning solutions available for faculty and staff to download. Microsoft Forefront protects against viruses and Trojan horses, as well as malicious ActiveX and Java Applets. It is available in two versions, regular and slim. Download and run the regular version if you already have McAfee running on your machine. It will automatically uninstall McAfee and install Forefront for you. If you don't have McAfee running on your computer just download and install the slim version.

For students and ISU Faculty and Staff home use we recommend that they download Microsoft Security Essentials from:

For Macintosh

The Office of Information Technology offers McAfee Antivirus software for the Macintosh. You may download this program, free of charge, by going to download.indstate.edu. Your Sycamore login and password are required in order to download.
