Membership and Marketing Committee

Membership Responsibilities

  • Research and implement strategies appropriate to our target populations which will attract new members to OLLI at Indiana State events.
  • Develop strategic and operational goals to retain current members and secure new members by broadening our target populations while continuing to be informed of evolving opportunities.
  • Measure the Committee's progress in reaching its goals.
  • Solicit marketing and membership ideas from the entire membership.

Marketing Responsibilities

  • Research how other Lifelong Learning Institutes (LLIs) market their programs and adapt what it considers to be "best practices" to OLLI at Indiana State.
  • Execute plans to inform target populations of and gain support for OLLI at Indiana State's mission by following its Marketing and Communications Plan.
  • Evaluate and revise, as necessary, the Marketing and Communications Plan.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with Indiana State University's Marketing and Communications Department to develop marketing, advertising, and other promotional materials.
  • Evaluate on a regular basis the success of OLLI at Indiana State marketing strategies.
