Welcome to Indiana State University

Your first step to becoming a Sycamore is to attend New Student Orientation. At orientation, students and their guests will get an introduction to campus resources, meet with an academic advisor to schedule their first semester’s classes, and get their student ID. Program times and schedules vary. All new students must attend orientation. A fee will be assessed for new students on their fall e-bill.

If the student is taking all courses via distance education (not available for freshmen), he/she will not need to attend an orientation session.

Undergraduate Orientation

Orientation sessions for undergraduate (freshmen and transfer) students entering Indiana State University in Fall of 2013 will be released in March. Formal invitations will be sent via postal service to the student’s home address and reservations will be taken on this site.

Graduate Orientation

Graduate students receive orientation information upon acceptance into their academic programs. For further information or assistance, contact the academic unit offering the program.
