Indiana State University is aware of the impact of H1N1, avian (bird) flu or pandemic influenza could have on our campus.
A committee of university leaders are currently developing a response plan in the event either viruses affect our campus community.
We realize you may have many questions about H1N1, pandemic influenza and avian flu.
To help answer some of those questions and provide you with information and some practical, common sense measures to reduce your risk of contracting the flu we have developed this site.
In the unlikely event of an influenza pandemic, this site will be updated with the latest news and important information about university events and activities.
NEWS
- The Student Health Center continues to monitor suspected novel influenza A
(H1N1) cases and, in conjunction with Student Health Promotions, continues to
aggressively promote prevention methods.
The number of cases appears to have peaked during the week ending Oct. 30 when
22-24 ISU students tested probable for H1N1. Currently, fewer than 20 students
are believed to be affected. The Student Health Center reports approximately 50
probable H1N1 cases so far during the fall semester.
