College is a big step for everyone. At Indiana State University, we understand the mix of emotions associated with a student starting college. After all, our campus will be your student's home away from home for the next few years.

We aspire for our students and their families to feel a part of an extended family of Sycamores, which is a diverse group – current students, alumni, faculty and staff, friends of ISU and families of other students.

In addition to being a part of the family and learning in a park-like setting, students are able to excel in top-notch, nationally recognized programs, conduct research alongside our faculty, make a difference through community engagement and volunteer activities and enjoy a diverse variety of cultural, arts and student programs.

Learning isn’t just in the classroom, it continues in the residence halls with monthly programs and learning communities, and throughout campus as student participate in more than 125 student organizations. We pride ourselves in being able to offer the benefits of a large, comprehensive university in a smaller, more welcoming environment.

Indiana State is committed to help students afford college. This fall, Indiana State awarded $4.6 million in scholarships to deserving students.
