Parents – We need your help!

sycamore leafAn on-line survey for the parents of currently enrolled traditional-age students (under 21) has been created to gain a clearer picture of what services and information parents and families want from ISU. If you haven't done so already, please take a few moments to complete this survey.

Preliminary results of the Parents and Families survey are now available online. To view the results in PDF form, click here.

Many of our respondents were looking for:

• More information on financial aid and scholarships.

Information on how to apply for financial aid can be found at http://www.indstate.edu/finaid/applying_aid.htm  . To learn about the types of financial aid, go to http://www.indstate.edu/finaid/typesofaid.htm  .

Scholarship information is available at http://www.indstate.edu/scholarships/  . For more information, contact Sarah Wurtz at scholarships@indstate.edu .

• Information about accessing student information through Web4Parent.

With your student’s consent, you are able to view financial aid information and grades. A step-by-step guide on how to set up access can be found at http://www1.indstate.edu/registrar/web4parent_quickcard.html .

• Information on parent communications, including ParentLink and the website.

ParentLink, the parent newsletter, is sent out to parents of undergraduate students who are under the age of 21 three times a year. This newsletter, also available on the Parent and Families website, provides updates on programs and services which may be of interest to you or your student.

The Parent and Families website (http://www.indstate.edu/families) is your portal to online university resources as well as information about attending campus activities such as Family Day, Homecoming, Commencement and a wide variety of cultural events.

• A resource person to contact for answers and advice on navigating the University system.

ISU parents or families not sure who to contact with their questions have an ally. Contact Paula Meyer, who serves as the Parent Advisor, at 812-237-3783 or via email at paula.meyer@indstate.edu  . She will connect you with the person or department who can address your question or concern.
