Garage Permit Fees for 2009-2010

Garage permits may be purchased at Traffic and Parking Services for the City of Terre Haute Cherry Street Multi-Modal Transportation Facility by ISU students, staff, and faculty. The regular price of a garage space (charged by the City ) is $45.00/month. The City is leasing spaces to ISU for $30.00/month and ISU has chosen to pass this savings onto our campus community. Therefore, the purchase price for any ISU student, staff, or faculty will be $30.00/month as opposed to $45/month if purchased from the City. The permits are not pro-rated during the month, therefore, it is recommended that you purchase as close to the first of each month as possible. If you wish to park in the City garage, you can purchase your garage permit from Traffic and Parking services on an annual, monthly, or multiple month basis. The Garage Permit will not allow you to park on the surface lots, you will have to purchase a ISU surface lot permit also.

The purchase price for Garage Permit for any ISU staff or faculty will be: 

$30.00/month or $360.00/year (September 1, 2009-August 30, 2010) *
*Arrangements may be made to start in August.

The purchase price for Garage Permit for any 9-month student will be:

$30.00/month or $270.00/9-month (September 1, 2009-May 30, 2010)

***Part-time students or staff may want to look into the option of purchasing parking in the garage on an hourly rate $1.00/hour or $6.00/daily rate (payable at the Garage),

Faculty/Administrative Staff/Bi-Weekly Staff Surface Lot Permit Fees for 2009-2010

Faculty/Administrative Staff $83.00/  Bi-Weekly Staff $71.00

Motorcycles $45.00, cannot do payroll deduction

If you are new faculty or staff and wish to use the payroll deduct system, you will also need to include the Payroll Deduction Form along with your Parking Permit form.

Lost or Stolen Permits

If a parking permit becomes lost or stolen, it becomes the owner's responsibility to report and replace it immediately.  Replacement permits are obtained from Traffic and Parking Services at a cost equal to the current purchase price.

Handicap Permits

  • Medical documentation is required if you are requesting a handicapped permit.
  • Documentation must have an expiration date so it may be determined whether the permit is temporary or permanent.
  • Handicapped parking on Indiana State University property requires an ISU handicap permit or other state issued handicap permit or plate.  A state issued handicap plate or permit is acceptable if it is displayed with a valid ISU staff or student permit. (Documentation is required)
  • ****Under Indiana Code 5-16-9-5(b), any person who knowingly parks in a parking sapce reserved for a person with a physical disability while displaying a placard to which neither the person nor the person's passenger is entitled commits a Class C infraction.

Traffic and Parking Services is pleased to accommodate guests and special event parking requests.  Whether it is for a conference or simply visiting a friend all vehicles must display a parking hangtag at all times. 


Temporary & Guest Permits

Temporary guest and conference hangtags can be obtained by coming to the Traffic and Parking Services office at 210 N. 6th Street. In addition, if you have more than one request you may e-mail your request to parking@indstate.edu

All requests for guest parking permits of 50 or more will be charged a rate of .12 cents per permit to cover the production cost of the permit.
