Undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited institution
Students must meet all requirements of the College of Graduate and Professional Studies
Minimum GPA: 2.75 on a 4.00 scale, or student with GPA less than 2.75 on a 4.00 scale must take the Graduate Record Examination General Test, and score no lower than one standard error of measurement from the national mean on the verbal, quantitative, and analytical tests
Students must provide a letter of application, three letters of recommendation, a resume, and other supporting documents
Students must have at least 12 hours of physical education course work in the area of coaching -
Examples of courses that would be acceptable are:
Sports First Aid
Physical Conditioning
Scientific Aspects of Coaching
Sports Administration
Psychology of Coaching
Issues in Coaching
Philosophy of Coaching
Coaching Theory/Methods
A student who does not meet this requirement can be granted conditional admission and will be required to complete additional course work as determined after a review of transcripts.
