The Department of Physical Education offers undergraduate degrees in
both Teacher Education and
Exercise Science. Coursework for Bachelor of
Science degrees in Physical Education prepare students for careers in
educational settings while the Exercise Science curriculum is designed
for students interested in careers such as fitness specialists, exercise
physiologists, fitness center managers and geriatric fitness
specialists.
Physical Education minors include a
coaching endorsement.
Minors in the
Exercise Science track include
a
dance minor, a
non-teaching minor (geared for students seeking sports
leadership positions, sports communications or other careers based on
sports performance), and sports studies, for students interested in
careers such as
martial arts, fitness instruction and dance exercise
instruction.
